the fifth car is a Evo7. The same one that had been at MMSA HQ since fall of 2002.

The silver normal Lancer is missing both left wheels and is jacked up with a jack.

I think the low spoiler makes the Evo look alot like the normal Lancers. Even with the different bumpers, lights, wheels, fenders, without the big spoiler makes it all weird.

Thanks for the pics GlobeCLK! On your future trips make sure to check out the gauge cluster on the US spec Evos. You never know when Mitsu slips in a 2004 model with ACD.

Evo 7, without plates, should have had California "202" plates.
Hmm, MMSA sending it back? Doesn't DOT require imported cars to leave USA in one year?

Thanks for the pics. I too thought that I would like the low spoiler but if the pictures are any indication, I am glad I bought the A00.

According to the mile long thread a while back regarding legalization of imported cars we read that manufacturers can sign off on a car as road worthy if they so choose when given the chance to enter their notes on the importation legalization process. I'm sure CEO types are more than willing to say "Sure it's road worthy and we'll be responsible" when they want to drive one of their own overseas cars in the US.

Tough dilemma for me. On one hand the high spoiler drives me crazy because I can't see anything worthwhile out the back window (like the type of car behind me or whether it has a light bar on top of it or not). I thought I'd get used to it, my previous car was a 98 Eclipse GS-T with the wing and it blended in after a couple days no problem - but 3 weeks and counting and it still bugs me. On the other hand I agree with everyone above that the low spoiler looks bad - too much like the regular Lancer, not proportional to the rest of the back, etc. What to do?

Thanks for the pictures, a great help to see what it will look like. Unforunately, it doesn't look too good...

I think I might have to call photo chopped on this one. It looks pixely when you look at it enlarged and I can't imagine mitsu having a car with a missing wheel just sitting out there with evo's with little spoilers on them. Especiallly an EVO 7 just sitting there. I have to say it's doubtfull......
