While I do think the muffler was a restriction I don't think it netted me more then a tenth. I would attribute the majority of improvement to learning the car. One thing I forgot to mention is that I tried different rpms to shift at throughout the day. I think the best runs were running 1st to just shy of 7k and all other shifts at about 6700.
