Hex size question

Going to install my oil pressure sending unit soon, heard the hex bolt down by the filter is a pain to get out. I don't think I have a hex key big enough so I might go run to sears and buy a hex key for a ratchet, anyone know the size of it by any chance?

Try 10mm or 12mm hex bit.

It is 8mm. Make sure you get a 3/4 drive socket. You will need as much leverage as you can possibly get in order to remove that plug. I just finished removing mine about 5 minutes ago WD40 might also be required. Make sure you also have some thread sealant/teflon tape.

I bought the sockets but it was tough to get at with a ratchet, the extension made it hit the control arm etc...so I used a regular L shaped allen key and put a pipe on it.
