Had one my 05 STI. Sounds great. Very loud. That was on a 2.5ltr so I don't know about a 2.O. You don't see to many on Dsm's. Might be a reason. Check it out.

unless you plan of extracting a boatload of horsepower a 3.5" tbe is overkill

 

Yes, people have it - just search. You don't need 3.5", and you don't need to spend that much, but it's up to you.

 

I've seen/heard it (3.5") in person and its real nice. Also I have the APS 3" and am totaly happy with it. Couldnt describe how it sounds other than "deep".

 

checked one out in person this weekend. Looks super nice, great quality, very heavy though...

this guy at my school has one on his 05 WRX... I personally think it sounds like *** on his car... but neh. If you want an exhaust with that big of piping, you should look into the HPF (At least I THINK it's made by them) Goliath 3.5" TBE

Very good question.I was looking for this months now.I have build up an evo vi up to 900-1000hp and it will be a street cat also.My problem is still about the exhaust piping,since my downpipe is 4inchs pipe stainless.So i was trying to find a cut-back exhaust to exclude any back-fire and Not to be very loud on the street.I have been recomended about the APS but also about the Top-Fuel one for 3,15inchs pipe.I think i will end up with a cut-back exhaust not over 3,15inchs for street use.
