This is retarded the guy talks about "wait till car and driver gets a hold of it". yeah let them, they clocked us at a 14.2 1/4. YEAh just wait until they test drive it, they will blame the driver a well. From all I have read the performance #'s are VERY close. The subie people are just pissed that there super car is about the same as ours and it is not as far ahead as we were once lead to believe.

 

I've read the new issues of EVO, CAR, and Top Gear (Brittish Mags), and although they were testing the Euro version of the EVO, it spanked the STi in all performance tests.

 

Oh you are so very very wrong The STi will be a real drivers car requiring much more skill than the EVO or the STd WRX. Its as close as it gets to a Monaco pavement drifting brake, throttle, hand break sucking every last inch out of the apex as it gets. The Evo will stay with it on the streets in normal "friendly" tooling but it really doesnt matter on the streets the STi, WRX, EVO are the fastest things on the pothiled broken pavement streets of america! We should be more accomidating to each other

 

i dont see the point of arguing about a car that isnt even released yet..... for example, people where quoting figures of 28,xxx msrp price for the evo, but NO ONE REALLY new until it was AT THE DEALER - SO UNTIL THE STI is AT THE DEALER, WHO CARES?????????????????

these are all a bunch of paper racers/ magazine racers - because all of the INFORMED Subaru ENTHUSIASTS i have met DO NOT MAKE ANY SUCH RETARDED BIASED COMMENTS - THEY KNOW THAT THE EVO HAS ITS ADVANTAGES over the STI but they also know the STI's advangates over the evo. they also DONT make comments on how the STI will drive/feel - cuz until YOU drive it yourself, then you really DONT KNOW.

 

just looked at pictures of the STI - y does it look like a wrx with a bad body kit? the wheels dont even fill the fenders. front hood scoop - too big, rear wing - looks too big. basically nothing flows!? anybody else notice that?

 

Couldn't the same be said about the Evo with the Lancer? That's the whole point of these cars... to take a standard car, and transform it into a road ripping relatively cheap supercar. The looks of any car is purely subjective, so it really makes no difference if any person finds it unbearable... let it be... people are going to bicker over these two cars whether we like it or not, no point in wasting energy over it.

 

Well, I went over to the Subie (i-Club) forum to set the rumor mill straight. They seem to appreciate my reply. My intent was not to come off discusted and start bashing but to just educate the non- believers. I hoped it helped.

 

I doubt it will make much of an Impression Silencer. I tell you one thing I like both car’s and regardless of what I decide I believe If there Is any future of making any friend’s In this car enthusiast’s little tiff It’s here. They are CAR’S man. Sure if you are not careful, it can consume just as with anything else in this world. If we keep arguing about CAR’S and who’s faster, who’s religion Is right, who’s Martial Art Is better, who’s better period the more we let our humanity die everyday. Animals are more civilized than we are. Competition is healthy to an extant but not at the expense of someone else. It is a Freaking CAR. However, It is ok you can blow what I said at the window as the raving’s of some Ideological lunatic with an almighty complex or change you attitude and Respect People. I am not telling you to hold hand and sing song’s, but have respect.

I have owned both Evo and STI .. I currently have a deposit down on a US-Spec STI ... although I am also quite tempted by the Evo ... I post on both forums frequently

.. so when you talk about "those guys" on "that forum" no matter what forum you are on .. you will be talking about guys like me ... and guess what ... guys just like you to ... oh imagine that
