For a little Vishnu balance......
Do the US WRXs/STi's throw conrods on the track like the JDM ones? I have seen at least 4 blow-up already. Some tuners here say that it is due to the fact that STis don't come with oil coolers and the flat four design causes one side to suffer from lack of lubrication when cornering hard

Instead of taking the conservative approach similiar to the Dunkin Donuts spokesman who answered in response to the question which donut do you like best?, "they are all my children and I like them equally well." You actually used the "P" word. (preference). I do not believe you stated that the EVO was better than the STI, just better suited your current driving mood. Actually, the "hammering" was pretty polite on nasioc.com. compared to the "shock and awe" treatment you got here concerning the HP numbers. :
It certainly isn't just you; many forums will eat their young if you don't tell them what they want hear! I appreciate your well written summaries describing your preferences. Now if we can only get Dave Buschur to tell us whats on his mind!

Speedlimit..........
I actually think that most of the Shiv-bashing that happened in the multiple dyno-threads were by 4 or 5 outspoken old-time DSMers, they just happened to be VERY outspoken. By no means were the MAJORITY of the evolutionm forum members bashing on him.

I think the problem here is that highly-stressed engines that are then further stressed through many race modifications sometimes just take that step to the other side. Given my experiences at the track, this is true of nearly any type of vehicle there - STi's and Evo's hold no records for engine explosions at all.

You express an opinion, fact or not, that is contrary to some people's beliefs, and you will get flames for it. I doubt Shiv is really worried about it - he's been online long enough to develop the elephant hide one needs to be able to post opinions in forums.
