It takes a stock Evo much less than a mile to reach that speed from a standing start.

Thousand of people drive over 150 mph every day.

In Germany
Agreed!!!

144mph is very impressive for a 17year old girl.
But the point is: how fast do you get to 144mph?

I agree. I've reached 150mph+ at least 5 or 6 times since getting my Evo a month ago. Every car I've ever owned I've had past 140. You just have to have a good place where you know there's no cops or where you can see them from a mile away. Or you can always just send a spotter ahead of you with a cell phone. Or was this in a school zone...? BTW, this car is EXTREMELY stable at those speeds; no less than if you're going 80. That said, I don't recommend any of you going over 65 .

If you are ta 140mph and cops is not "rolling " with you, he will never catch you.

An HKS SLD might help you a bit, too

It is still way better than a Civic running 110mph.
Are you going to turboi it, or it is done already?

and you cant outrun the radio, or the cop waiting for you down the road, possibly with spike strips.

I was in no way condoning runnning from police, or even speeding. uninvolved people get hurt that way.

Uh... I live in Washington state. I got busted at 132mph on I-5. The cop didn't give me a speeding ticket though. I got negligent driving. That's just a huge fine and a blemish on your record.

The cop said I was getting off lucky, because he could have given me reckless driving. That would have been an arrest on the spot and jail time.

Good thing he didn't bust me about a mile sooner. I was doing about 150 and spanking a couple of DSM guys. That would have been worse than reckless driving since getting busted for street racing takes your car and license away.

BTW my Supra was very stable at those speeds. I learned my lesson big time though. I'll never do that again on streets. Save it for the track peeps. The few seconds of thrill are not worth it.

I refuse to speed on I-5 (excessively, that is). On my way to work via I-5 I pass about 7 or 8 speed traps in about 10 miles.
