My bad, I didn't read carefully. Interesting info that you gained some whp without the ecu tune. Because I didn't gain any after installing TBE on my IX. I am guessing that it's your MBC. Anyways, Good luck w/ the car!

Oh ok, sure. I guess the thousands and thousands of us with MBCs just aren't making as much power. =(

Yes, it's most likely the MBC. Being that it was holding boost longer then stock on my guage after it was installed and it didn't taper as much. More then likely the boost.

It's possible that you could, each car is different. I think an electronic boost controller with more options then a manual one with just a spring mechanism in it, is better. With an EBC you can control the boost levels on EVERY RPM, you can raise or lower it how YOU want to, you can tell it WHEN the boost comes in. All those options alone make it better, IMO. Not just that, but they have a higher peak hold. The EBC I saw last night, when in "open mode" could go up to 40+ psi from the factory.

How much boost were you running with MBC before the tune?

I love how people think a boost controller will help power as much as 20whp lol

Like 21 - 22 psi, but it held it much longer then stock. Stock it would die out much faster.

In conjunction with a TBE, intake, and walbro. The fuel pump alone allows more boost to be used.

That dyno reads like a Dynojet. Nice gains nonetheless.

No problem, just reassuring you that you are nowhere near 370whp on a Dynojet.

Threads like these should be deleted - when noobs come on here and search for answers (like they're endlessly told to do) they're going to get threads like these (full of conflicting information, half truths and outright BS) back as results and will become even more confused and frustrated.
