Lancershop problems

Just wanted to relay my recent experience with LancerShop. I've used this vendor before without any problems, but my latest shopping experience has soured them for me and I will not be shopping with them again. I purchased a Perrin shorty antenna from them since mine got broken off. I had the base replaced and when I tried to put it on, it didn't fit. The antenna would not screw all the way down, leaving a 1/4 - 1/2 inch gap between the base of the antenna and the antenna itself. I contacted LancerShop via their website but never got an email or phone call reply. After waiting several days, I returned the antenna to them with paperwork included detailing the problem. Again, no reply from them. From the tracking info I saw that they received the package. Later when I checked the website I found out that they refunded me the cost of the antenna minus shipping and minus a restocking fee. I really don't feel like I should have to pay for shipping and restocking of a faulty part. I once again called the store and finally after multiple attempts and an email, was called back today. The lady I spoke with said that the shipping people determined that the antenna was not defective. I asked if they tried to put it on a car, and she said that "we don't have any cars here to try it on." Well, of course it doesn't look defective, it just doesn't fit. She also stated that they get the antennas straight from the manufacturer and send them out and all the other antennas work so mine shouldn't be defective. So what! If all the other antennas work that means mine automatically isn't defective? What kind of sophomoric logic is that?! Anyway, she refused to do anything about the issue and there was no manager to speak with there today. Well, from now on I will not be shopping from LancerShop. Buyer beware. I guess they really don't care about customer service.

i had the something of the sort when ordering some of my parts... when i ordered i was told that everything was in stock and that it would be shipped out right away... after i received shipment, some of the parts were missing and so i called and was told that it would be at least three months before the rest was in stock... so of course i cancelled and went elsewhere... that was the last time i shopped with them...

Can't agree I have had great experiences with Lancershop and they follow up very well. They ship extremely fast and their prices are good with all the parts I need. Where else can you find that many products for the evo???

If there was a problem with the antenna (manufacturer issue), that does not excuse their seemingly absolute lack of customer service. It's in their best interest to 'make it right' with you or else suffer the consequences, such as this negative posting here. At the very least they should have replaced your defective part and then taken the matter up with their vendor, not make you have to fight with them. I will certainly think twice before ordering from them.

These guys are getting way over their head... I have had two past experiences of the same.. They utilize the high demand logic to sell to most but not to all... They could care less for all customers... I ordered over $2500 of parts and $1500 of it arrived and the rest was on back order.. That was never stated from the begininning.. In fact they asked me what was sent and what didn't make it.. That was the most ridiculous question ever. Anyway, all beware.. this is becoming a common theme..

Noted on L.shop. A way to minimize hassel is to pick the vendors based on the level of service you anticipate. For example L. sucks at customer service, relative to a small shop run by the owner who drives and races an Evo.

Lshop however, will always answer the phone no matter how busy they are, it will most likely be a girl in phone sales who has no idea what an Evo even is, but they will answer. They sell huge inventory at low prices and can afford to do this because they dropship many parts from thier vendors directly.

They are set up primarily for web orders and e-mail tracking and you should assume you will need to deal with the company that manufactures the part directly if there is an issue that needs resolution other than sales/shipping.

When I have to have somthing the next day, I have always had luck with shops like Works and Z1 where you get to discuss your needs with a person who actually cares about your situation and will follow up .

When I'm planning an install and have a bit to wait, I'll use Lancershop because of thier huge selection and price.

Here is another person with the same problem I experienced with the Perrin antenna. And LancerShop said that none of the other antennas had this problem. They really know what they are talking about.

Turn them into the BBB. Dispute the charge with your credit card company. I have bought from Lancershop before but will not anymore after the crap I have heard about how they do business. Anyway to maybe get them removed as a vendor for the site? I am sure they get a lot of business from people on this forum. If they don't care about thier customers F'em.

I haven't had very good luck with LancerShop. They've never burned me, but they were difficult to deal with. I won't be using their services again.

To all you guyz that say you have greeaat experiences with lancershop, thats awesome. But for every 1 customer that has a good experience, theres like 4 that didn't...

They seem to have real problems with customer services, and getting people the right parts...I will also not be wasting anytime with lancershop.com
