Anyone here have the problem of their sunglass holder popping open on its own in hot temperatures? Mine kept doing it, so I just leave it open and put my sunglasses in the armrest box.
Anyone have a solution to keep it functional, yet not pop out on its own?
Edit: BTW, I have a 2006 IX MR (to clarify any confusion haha)

mine does the opposite, it wont open at all...it used to open then decided to stop all of a sudden a few weeks after i bought the car. now its stuck in the closed position with my bluetooth speakerphone inside

i havent had this problem. hopefully i wont. lol

 

mine did that about a month ago, had it replaced under warranty. the new one started doing it again so i'm going to wait till the weather gets cooler and see if it really is the heat that's affecting it.

 

This happened to me after I got tuned for some reason, I used to keep my garage door opener in there. I guess the added acceleration in conjunction with the garage door openers weight caused it to open. You're not alone fellow sufferer of the "Dropping Down Mysteriously" sunglass holder. I feel your pain.
