Well it wasn't aimed at anyone in particular, it was more of a general statement directed to the people acting as if they own the world's only evo.

Who cares if you have to give "respect" to a ford? You get 300$ out of the deal and get to say your car is in a commercial. It's not like he's asking you to wear a purple track suit, tuck one pant leg into your sock, talk like you've had a stroke and perform 6000 RPM clutch drops only to lose to a ford. Get over yourselves, you have nice cars, but it's not like you can't at least fake civility to domestics or other cars.
I don't think that's the issue, I think it's the premise of the commercial. If it was the GT500 or GT (God willing I'd pay them $300 to be at that shoot) the commercial would work hands down. Likely though it's gonna end up being like a focus or something along those lines. I've ridden in a "tuner" Focus SVT and let me tell you, not even the Kia kids gave their respect LOL.

I wish someone would tell Ford's marketing department that "respect" would be promptly given should they bring over the fancy turbo Euro Focus. If they wanna be taken seriously give us a serious car. Otherwise I predict a repeat of the stunning action-packed Celica campaign of "Looks Fast."

Ah man... I loved those commercials! Where the dog was running into it... and the old person was yelling "Slow Down!!!" at a parked car.

I dont think that this is a bow down to the domestics type thing. If that was the case a girl would probably not be driving the car. Cut the guy some slack.

I agree. That's why I want to know what kind of Ford they are using. The new GT500's are selling for $70,000+. There's no need to market something that is selling itself and at double it's price. But at the same time I can't think of a car in the Ford lineup that would work well in this commercial unless if it's the Fusion.
