With what cam gears? Stock or aftermarket?

if the sides of the cams come in contact with the rocker, then trust me you have larger problems than the cams. those cams are just fine.

we dont worry about the sides of the lobes. they touch nothing. effect nothing and will never come appart. We also do not worry about the center section of the cams. and for those that think our quality is low please go ahead and do a material test on our cams and then compair it to comp, HKS and Jun and let me know what you think after the test. please do NOT File the edges I do not recommed doing anything but installing them and getting a tune.

I have personally installed 25-30 sets of GSC cams and never had any problems whatsoever with them.

Put them in, they are fine.

Too all the expert newbie's telling him to send them back, bite your lip next time and wait for someone who knows to answer him correctly.

+2

those are part of the casting of the cam itself. it will not damage anything when installed. the roller rocker arm does not touch that area. just look at the stockers you took a pic of. they ride in the middle of the LOBE area. they are quality cams. if you have any problems, im sure that GSC will take care of you. he did with the very first sets of cams he put out to everyone. you will be fine.

i also firmly dont believe that the cam gears were wobbling because of the cams themselves. it may have been the cam gears not aligned right, installed right, or a small piece of material behind the cam gear once installed, or the dowel pin was off. so many other variables than to just point to the cams.

to all the others that say "i wouldnt accept that" or "send them back" do you have cams?? have you looked at yours?? im sure there is some 'flaw' that is present that you dont agree with but installed yours anyways.

when you going to do the install, I may swing by.

That is if you're doing them and you need a hand.

I put in the GSC, had the same type of left over edges, it never touched anything, install went smooth, and even the STOCK cams had some leftover edges on mine...
