Aside from the bling factor, I didn't see any gain from it on the dyno. Its not too hard to remove but you will have to pull on the turbo/hotside toward the front bumper so the manifold can be released from the studs coming out of the block. Remove the bolt (from the bottom) on the O2 housing bracket to make it easier to pull the turbo/hotside forward.

Unless your running an upgraded turbo, your stock manifold is fine.

People are going 10s on the stocker, so with only very basic upgrades why do all of that work and that much money?
Much like swapping intercoolers, it might help but probably not worth the time or money at that power level.

If you're dead set on it though, good luck.
I'd really REALLY recomend you get alcohol and cam's first. You'll be much better off, have much more gains.
Work on doing the little inexpensive stuff that has the most gains first.

The stock intake manifold flows very well. If you go with a larger turbo then you will need a manifold with shorter runners and larger plenum. "porting" your stock intake manifold will only yield miniscule torque gains.
Now, if you already have the manifold off for some other modifications, then getting it ported may help a little, but not worth the hassle for a couple ft lbs.

Exactly.
