I seriously doubt the fax is factual and besides, it would be illegal. Get a copy of the fax if you can. I'll check with my local dealer and see what the service manager says.

I like having a TT. It gives me peace of mind and it's conveniant not to sit in the car. Uninstalling a TT is not as easy as it sounds. If the head unit could be unplugged leaving the wiring still intact then that would be great. BUT a clean install leaves tie wraps all around, the harness plugged into the steering column, E-Brake safety wire spliced into the E-Brake wire, wire spliced into the RPM wire, etc. depending on features.

The point is this, knuckleheaded salesman and dealership reps don't know wtf they're talking about 80% of the time. You CANNOT void a warranty unless proven aftermarket parts are cause of failure. They're trying to scare you out of modifying the car. Not guilty until proven otherwise is the motto here. Ask any lawyer and they'll tell you the same. I actually wish I didn't get the extended warranty cuz I'm going to mod pretty soon I wonder if you can get your money back on something like that since it's still a new car.
