+1 man At least ur around to tell us about it. A good friend of mine died 2 weeks ago due to a drunk driver. His STI fliped twise killing him on impact.. RIP Erick. =(

My previous car, a 2001.5 Audi A4 had a similar fate this past january. Drunk driver crossed into my lane of traffic and hit me head on. I was doing about 40mph and he was doing about 30. The guy hit and ran but they caught him not far from the scene.

I wasn't as lucky in terms of physical condition. I was knocked out cold, separated knee, whiplash, slipped disc in my back, memory loss, concussion.... the works.

It was a total loss. And worst of all, i had just been offered $22k for the car, blue book was $18.5k.... insurance gave me $16k. BASTARDS!!! It's been 8 months and the lawsuit is proceding well. I've got $25k in medical bills. I'm looking at roughly double my bills as my settlement.

Totally rotten deal bro, I feel ya. Glad to hear you and your kids are ok, I have two of my own and I would have tracked that ***** down and well, you know. To shed some positive light ($) on your situation, if you plan on parting it out, or if you can go steal it out of the junkyard. I need the plastic panel that goes underneath the steering wheel, the one with the light adjuster and fuse panel in it, thanks.
