I called my local Mitsubishi dealer the other day and learned some promising news. The first sales guy I talked to wasn't much help. The conversation went somthing like this:

Me: Hello I am intrested in buying a Lancer Evolution. Do you have any information on when they will be avalible in the U.S.?

Sales: Yea we don't have them yet but we will be getting the 2002 Lancers in next week.

Me: Uhhh, are you sure that you are getting the Lancer Evolutions in next week? I didn't even know that Mitsubishi had offically anounced the EVO, yet.

Sales: Yea we are getting the Lancers in.... Whats a Evolution?

Me: Is there anybody there who might know what I'm talking about?

Sales: Uhhh, hold on... I'll get our sales director.

(Now all that was para-phrased. And I'm not trying to make the guy look bad.) The sales director was alot more helpful. He knew exactally what I was talking about. He said he thought they would have some EVO's for sale "next spring". This of corse made we quite happy. And I had him put me down at the top of the list for one when they become avalible.

Now I don't have my farmer' s almanac handy, but if what this guy told me is true, I should be driving a EVO before my next birthday. Lets hope he knows what he was talking about.

P.S. I also talked to a sales director at an other Mitsu. dealer, who told me that the EVO's wont be availble for another 2-3 years. I'm going to beleave the first guy I talked to.

I'll believe it when they get here ... dealers are notoriously full of ... it. I hope that it's sooner rather than later, but I wouldn't expect to see next year.

 

Good point JUstin. I'll have my Learner's Permit by then. So, hopefuly I can take my driving test in the EVO. That should impress the DMZ.

Just so that you know, I don't work for Disney. But I do have another movie coming out late this year/early next year. And I also have a new animated show coming out this fall on ABC. And you can watch my newest show "So little Time" every saturday and sunday at noon and 1:30 on Foxfamily channel.
