get a good cell fix or get a reflash where they can shut off cels and get you some more power/torque

the CEL will stay illuminated for 3 driving cycles, if the reason the light came one doesn't happen again it will turn off the CEL and store it. So when you dealer goes to check your OBD11 system it will show up and he can diagnois the problem, I recommend getting the perrin O2 sim and a reflash.

You will need one package of HELP! part #42009. Keep them seperated and use a 1/2" drill bit (preferably a titanium bit) and drill one out. You can then connect the two pieces and you should wind up with this:

One end drilled out and connected to the other:

LMK if you have any questions.

Did you use both pieces? I have never had a CEL since I put this on. I also did this with my S2000 and never had any issues.

I used the $5 fix and worked great for about 9 months and then started throwing codes so I tried the Perrin and was useless. I just leave my reader out and check and clear everytime I get in the car. PITA? yeah but what do you expect w/ a hi hp car.

Yup sure did, drilled out the one that meets the o2 sensor also. I had to buy a wrench specifically for it too.

The real good fix is to replace or reflash. I also have a '00 GSR and I went OBD1 with it, so it doesn't care

However I did have some issues with the perrin testpipe matching up nicely with the works 76mm Downpipe. I think I might have a small exhaust leak at the front of the cat. I will check it out today and reset the ecu again. It may come back in a day though... I'll see...

first things first

Go to pep boys or auto zone and have them read the code for you. Most evo owners with mods will buy there own reader at some point.
