Question Test Pipe - Disappearing CEL

Hey guys last week I put a perrin test pipe on my evo 8 mr, using the anti fouler o2 sensor fix. It threw a CEL a few days ago and I reset the ecu. it went away. BUT today it came back, I drove it for a few minutes and it went away.

Is this normal?
I have seen CEL's before on many other cars '93-'01 Nissan, acura, honda...
but you always have to reset the ecu to make the cel disappear.

Will the CEL disappear normally or is something really flippin out?

thanks in advance...

I am planning on it, but I was just wondering if the CEL will fix itself (turn off) while driving, without resetting the ecu.

I am for sure getting one I just got the pipe off ebay without anything else the day before my local auto-x event so... quick fix indeed. but not for long.

Its not going to turn off , but on the plus side it isnt affecting your performance any like it would on your integra gsr which goes into limp d ick mode when the CEL comes on

Buy a Creader like I just did. Resets any CELs in seconds and you can diagnose your own problems.

Buy the Perrin CEL fix. It wires to the 2nd o2 and you will have no more problems......

Mine does this, if I run the car hard it turns off the CEL, and it's because my o2 sensor is bad

Seal the hole in the anti fouler. Just take it to an exhaust shop and get them to spot welt it.
