Push the clutch pedal in. If it stops it's the clutch throw out bearing (TOB), which is fairly normal.

is it a whining sound coming from the turbo? If it is then it is music to my ears. The evo is one loud engine and I have no complaints.

Given the bizarre nature of your previous posts, I'm willing to bet there's nothing wrong with your car. Take it to the dealer if you're concerned. That's what a warranty is for.

The Timing Belt will make a noise, similar to a bad pulley (bearing), when cold. I was told by the dealer, it's a harmonic noise at a certain RPM. Dose it make the noise around 1200 RPM, maybe a couple of minutes after starting the car? If so, it's not a problem, it's the belt and disappears after the belt warms up.

If it's coming for your Power Steering, manufacturing sometimes cranks down on the seal to much and can create a winning noise.

What he is saying is that he's not giving the Evo enough time to warm up before driving. Let the car sit and idle until your temp goes up and the idle dropps to about 1k. If you don't do this and drive it cold, the Evo makes all sorts of weird noises when cold.

My car is brand spanking new and it did the same from the beginning.
It's the TOB cause it goes away when the clutch is engaged.
