sounds like your intake manifold pipe/slicone hose blew off. Just make sure all pipe are on tight. this is a common occurance.

WTF? Are you kidding me... He said it turns over... The motor cranks...So that would me the battery has power. It doesnt matter if the alternator is bad or not.. it it cranks then it should fire.

As for what to check.. you need to give more input. Did it make a noise... were you under boost. we cant just guess for you, come'on help us determine your problem.

No noise wasn't in boost yet motor just stalled its getting power I'm thinking it might be a fuel preoblem or a head problem we tried to check the timing yesterday and it seemed off

If all checks out fine, could it be the chip inside the key? A friend of mine had similar problems with his car (not an evo) before, couldn't start even though all lights comes on and the engine turns, problem was the chip in his car keys got fried.

If you searched you would probably have found the answer.

Do you have an aftermarket catback? How about anti-foulers on the O2 because of a cat delete pipe?

Check the rear O2 sensor wiring for shorting to ground against the heatshield.

It has happened to a few people. That fuse powers the sensors for engine control.

Aight I fixed it. It was my rear o2 sensor it kept hit against my underbody which frayed the wires causing a short so thanks for the advice saved me a couple huindrd of dollars.
