hey guys.... i just spent the last hour trying to find a solution to my problem...and didn't find anything conclusive..... so here I go..... i got a seibon cf hood a few months ago... and it looked great.... now the hood seems like it is turning yellow..... the clearcoat still looks good.... is there anyway to fix this??? is it the clearcoat turning yellow or the actual cf weave?? i was thinking if i wetsanded the hood and resprayed clearcoat it'll fix it, but i want to make sure that it's the clearcoat that's fading..... i'm sure a lot of u guys out there have had the same problem.... just wondering what u did to fix it....... thanks

 

wetsand, buff, and reclear it...better than new

Mine is doing the same thing but only in one spot. U can only see it when the sun is real bright on the hood..I also have a bunch of white little dots under the clear all over the hood I need to take it and get it fixed. I thought these hoods where top notch but i guess not!

awww man i just bought my seibon hood about a month or two ago and its gonna suck when it starts doing this. I guess ill end up painting it the same color of the car.

 

Do the seibon come with any kind of warrenty?

 

i'd suggest uv clear coating it before u install it
