Factory Boost Gauge Tie-In Point

Guys,

Installing my Autometer B gauge tommorrow, and I really Dislike Hacking into the FPR hose as suggested in ALL the Install Threads here, so where do they Tie-In the facotry gauge on the MR & RS (I have a IX)....a Search brings up ZILCH

On my 05 MR it was tapped into the FPR line. On my friends 06 MR it was tapped into the BOV vac port where it comes off the intake manifold. (Follow the lines from the stock BOV back to where the vac line gets to a pressure port on the intake manifold). The stock tie in was in the line right of the intake manifold, on his 06 model MR.

ok i taped into that line... and i am still having a problem. still get a -20 vac (idle, driving).

the most it boost at is like +20 if that. but does NOT zero out when idle or drive while not boost.

When you idle you should be around -20 to -15. The only time it should zero out is when the car is turned off

so seeing it at -20 when start up and move up to zeronce i give it gas and more gas it goes up more and more.... that is all normal? i dont have a broken gauge?

Yes your gauge is working and those numbers are normal.

Either spot is a accurate source. Theres no reason to try and switch.
