I would thing that would be a comprehensive claim and you may have a zero deductible like a broken windshield. I have state farm they are always good to me.

Well I took it up the *** hardcore. I get 1700 after my deductible and the only thing they will replace is the dented moldings. They say paintless dent repair on everything
I explain to them that the car is thin aluminum and I won't be satisfied unless the car is exactly how it was before the hail damage.
So I have enough to get a cf trunk and hood and maybe a lil bit of the repair.. and the rest I'll take up the butt

Yeah I know. I have 0 experience with it but I'm VERY picky. I will not accept the car in less than perfect condition.
I had nothing to argue.. I don't know what I could have said other than explaining how important it was to have a PERFECT exterior... and that the car was thin aluminum. If you have any ammo I could use let me know... I like to fight with people like this lol.
I mean I've paid over 6k in insurance on this car alone with 0 claims. I hate insurance.. such bs.. you have to have a wreck or some other misfortune to get some sort of "return" on your "investment"
ahh I'm not really happy right now lol

I am pretty sure insurance companys can't tell you where to bring your car to get fixed. They can suggest but can't require. So if you don't want your car repaired and a paintless dent place they can't make you right. Talk to the claim rep supervisor or something before you go suing anyone. I believe those guys jobs are to close the claim with minimal money having to be paid out so just complain. Heck the car was perfect before right don't cash any check or close the claim keep that thing open till you get satisfied. Good luck. On a side note State Farm has always more then covered me gone above and beyond try talking to your local agent that knows you. You know your "good neighbor guy"...not the one borrowing your tools and never returning them.
Take your car to a body shop that offers or sublets PDR. They will look at it and determine if the estimate provided by your insurance agent is enough for them to do the work. If it isn't they will have the adjuster come back out and hash it over with him and try to get more money out of him.
I'm going through the same thing now. Geico said all my dents were PDR yet there are quite a few around my sunroof and on my rear door C-pillar that can't be tapped out. Definately gonna need some welding and refinishing. Also my hood is so dented that it's pointless to fix and needs replace. I'll find out Tuesday how it all goes.
Bottom line, you DON'T have to accept the first offer the insurance company gives you. If they jerk you around, talk to your State's commissioner in the dept. of insurance. Any claim you file they will look into.
