hey speedlimit, just go t this thing and was wondering what method you used to hook it up to the evo? ecu tap, plug wire? I have a 03 lancer and I'm not sure how to hook it up. no visable plug wires, not sure which wire from ecu? got any advice? thanks ~Shawn

pull the inside cover off your valve cover.. that is where your plug wires are..


um, btw i have a road dyno too.. had it for over a year..

What did you put in for drivetrain losses? Seems as this number could be used to fudge your results pretty easily.

Also, did you test your car in 2nd as well? I'd be curious to see if the dyno results overlay (they should).

I haven't used it as of yet, but I'm going to use 14% for the DT loss. seems to make sense. stock lancer 120bhp*.14%=103whp. isn't that what mitsu claims?

you only use that if you want it to calc BHP..

Can you explain how you determined each of these variables? That's a pretty precise frontal area (within one square mm?). Isn't that the drag coefficient for the base Evo (without the big wing)?

Hi Shawn,

The dyno is xtnct's and he has the inductive pick-up which is simply clamped onto a spark plug wire.
