Doing a late night install and so far its been 2hours, and now I am finally stuck. I decided to install the 10.5 into my 03 evo and I just cant seem to get the clamp to unbolt the hotside from the turbo. Can anyone give me some advice on how to do it... Thanks.

 

and by the way, I completely loosen the bolt and the bottom half of the clamp is loose but the top is stuck on the hotside...

 

simply use somethin to tap the other side off....

 

you mean the clamp is seized on their now?

 

ok got it off, now another thing. That hotside is hard to get off of the turbo. Any special tactic to use? I tried wd40 and a flathead...

 

use the hammer wisely.... make sure that you tap the hot side off evenly so that you dont hit the turbine wheel....

 

ya, they are a little hard to seperate. just keep at it with a flat head screw driver and hammer

 

hey elhalisf, how do you like your cars performance so far? I have practically the same mods w/o intercooler or a tune, but i wanted to know how you liked your car so far at its level and what's its 1/4?

ok just finished everything and tested it and I have a few questions.
1. My idle used to be in the 800's now it is in the 600-700 when fully warmed up? is that normal?
2. Boost sometimes spikes to 23 and tapers to 20 and before it held 22 and tapered to around 20-21ish? is that normal?
3. Car isnt noticeably faster... Normal?

 

same happend with mine. you just need a tune.
