shopped for EVO in NYC area: Cheapest price $27,888... highest $1500-$3K over MSRP
I went Evo shopping with my buddy today. He is going to get the car next month, but for now we refuse to pay MSRP.....
Cheapest Price we found was at a Brooklyn dealership for $27,888, no sunroof, with tall wing.
We believe that we could get it cheaper if we shopped more.
How much did you guys pay for yours?

Would you mind posting the name and number of the dealership willing to sell for $27,888? That's better than the $28000 price I found at a dealership in Baltimore...

As for me personally, am not ready to buy yet, I'll get mine next year.
As for my buddy, next month, when his cousin pays him for his GSR

I just called Bay Ridge Mitsubishi in Brooklyn and spoke to Nelson. It seems like that $27,888 price is legit. The only catch I see here is you have to finance the car through Mitsubishi (no cash). I'm assuming this is due to the dealership getting a kickback of sorts from the manufacturer. But Nelson said I could pay off the whole loan the next day without any penalty.
I'm going down there tomorrow night to have a look. They have silver and red in stock with 4 more on their way. I don't think the Evo will ever get cheaper than this, so I might just do it... :-)

LOWBALL
That price you have on the business card is called a "lowball" There is about a 99% chance you will pay more once the deal actually happens and I promise you will not get a better price unless it is an even lower "lowball" to get you to start doing the deal. The bottom line is the dealer WILL find a way to make money on you (it's how we keep the lights on!) Anything $500 to $1000 behind invoice will be a great buy on an EVO right now and don't expect prices to get any lower. I anticipate getting more for the EVO's once the AD campaing launches and "2 Fast, 2 Furious" hits the theaters.
