That does make our cars sound badass! My car has so much power it dents the roof!

Hmm, I ran out to check my car and it has dents in the same area too ... I'm curious to see if Evos without the sunroofs have dents in the same area?

It's the weight of the glass I believe. A lot of cars get them, Not just mitsus. My other car is a VW and has them as well. It makes sense that when the roof is open that there is extra stress on the roof because the heavy glass is sitting on the tracks that are supported by the roof.

Sunroofs are not only heavy but a big hole in your roof reduces torsional rigidity. With stiff suspension like an Evo the chassis twists a little but whem cornering hard or driving on bad roads and possible even under hard acceleration. It happens all the time, look at the roof at some of the high powered muscle cars next time you are at a car show.

More than likely its from sudden hard impact. I got a bran new roof due to haill damage and a week later hit a curb and i have the exact same thing. Its caused by the front end of the car actually flewing upwards causing stress fractures there. Think of it has someone bending your car in half thats where the crease would be.
