Simple question..or is it..
Ive been on this forum for a few weeks now...browsing..
I have YET to see any stickies that would make it easier for us noobs to the EVO.
Such as, what mods to do in what order, what mods dont require tuning, what the limmits of factory parts are (engine/turbo/tranny/etc)..
If there IS something like this, please link me
if NOT,..someone needs to get on that

Actually you are absolutely correct. This forum offers you tons of mod feedback but unlike other forums we don't have a specific link with stages other than the ones that some vendors use.
So far there are some vendors like Warrtalon or Buschur or Vishnu etc that offers you packages but I agree, that is a good observation on your part.
Is this the type of info you were looking for?:
http://crx.honda-perf.org/articles/b...udgetmods.html
By default and by efectiveness everyone on this forum would agree that your first mods on the Evo would be: (on either order)
Exhaust
Air Filter
MBC
tunning
Then you can add other bolt- ons that enhances the performance:
BOV
LICP
UICP
Ignition amplifiers etc
Then you can get Cams and Alcohol kit. Finally you can go hardcore:
Turbokit
NOS
stroker kit
heads ..you name it.

Instead of stickies with that info in this forum, people will advise you to use the search button. You can find the answer to both your questions with it, as well as the answer to many, if not all others...
That is a good reference for their Stage 1, but ignore the Stage 2, it is full of useless, expensive mods that will yield little to no power.

When i first started to modify my Evo 8 I made a mistake and just started orderiung random parts for different vendors. Then i did a search to see what people thought the best vendor was and that is when i found Buschur Racing. I did research on alot of different vendors but i will tell you why Buschur Racing is so good.
1. If you go to their website www.Buschurracing.com and click on "Upgrade Sequence" then click on "Evolution 8" or "Evolution 9", theytell you what to start with for mods (it is their stage kits...Stage 0 thru Stage 6).
2. They show dyno slips and Estimated 1/4 mile times, along with an estimate of Horsepower and Torque.
3. They are very informative, and are willing to answer any questions you may have. Plus they work with Al from dyno flash.
4. THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE. I was told that every person that works for Buschur Racing drives and Evo.

Yes I would also like to know. Using teh search button can anly do so much and after hours of searching it gets annoying.
I see it like this. If you know the answer then help a brother out if you dont then thanks anyways.

Let me answer your question.
A good start will be BR Stage 1 or BR/Warrtalon package.
Stock motor can handle 500whp safely. We will know the limit as Trnababe and HPF push it.My guess is 700whp.
