1) Yes

2) I still have it and it works absolutely amaizing, it leaks at around 26-27psi
I have tested this over and over after coming from the track and running 100oct on 5th gear wide open throtle.
3) It really depends, by using the stock UICP you have to position the nozzle prior to the rubber bend which ultimately puts the nozzle at least 8" away from the throtle boddy and more importantly before the 90 degree bent, these are bad conditioning factors.

An UICP wouldn't hurt, you would definately get a much better nozzle location and performance with a solid metal pipe. I have a spare SMC kit which I am deciding if I will put it on the Evo 9. I am currently modding my Stealth with bigger turbos so it might go to the Stealth R/T...time will tell

Jabextrainer,

Not to sounds like and *** but why would you want to replace the existing awsome BOV that comes on the Evo 9 MR?. Unless you like the looksof an aftermarket BOV the stock will do the job in a excellent way.

From my point of view the money that you will spent on a aftermarket BOV you could get 20-25whp by doing a mail in flash for less money that you would pay for your BOV.

Just be aware that the non recirculating BOV often makes your car miss at partial throtle. If you decide to go with a BOV please stay away from the Turbo Xs RFL-H.

^^^^^ ohhhhh mannnnn!! you did not say that... I am just kiddin. Yeah man, whatever is clever but keep in mind that the stock BOV will give you a very loud pssshhhhhh whenever you do a cone filter.

Why don't you do this, go and buy a affordable Buschur Cone and install it. Drive the car for one or two days and see, I promise you that you will like the sound of the BOV, it is loud even with the stock BOV.

^ +1...get a cone filter instead if you want noise but get the hks super seq. if you really must have a loud high pitch noise.(greddy is nice too and you can always re-route it back...wait that one does route back..nice though)

--carlos since you pretty much deal with buschur...how does their meth kit differ from ams?...there isn't much detail about warning feat...i just dont want the pump or lines to get clogged...oh yeah...100% meth hurts your car doesn't it?

thanks

its the first one...the third one comes with a metal pipe to replace the rubber hose...the second one is a hard pipe for the upper intercooler pipe...

--imo intake is an intake...your aem one is fine...hks rs is fine...

Well if intakes are intakes what makes the cone better than the original, what causes it to make the stock BOV sound better... (Not criticizing just wondering)

open air element...since its the cone filter is open, sound can travel outside...stock air box is closed so the sound of the bov is baffeled...kinda like a stock muffler(designed to have baffles inside to make the exhaust noise quiet=more flow restrictions=less power, thus af muffler designes have less baffles=less flow restrictions=more power)

My dealer has this policy where if you buy a car you can return it within 5 days if you are unsaisfied. so if its a big problem i am returning the car.
