Been working and living there 4 years now, out there 3-4 days a week, and this is the first I've heard of something like that happening. Care to share the full story?

 

November 9-12th, or the 16th-19th are the two date we're considering now. The two primary driving days are Fri & Sat, I like Fridays the best as that's the least crowded, probably spend more time on the Skyway Saturday due to traffic (more sight-seers).

 

Yup, it was right at about 5400 ft high. It was pretty cold up there just this weekend, in Nov-Dec it will really be cold out I'd think.

 

What's going on Darryl, you must be busy! I presume you got my email. Didn't you say that it's been pretty mild up there lately? Of course that doesn't mean anything when it comes to weather! I hope to stop and get a chance to meet you this time.

That all depends. lately the winters have been pretty mild. I figure we should be safe the 1st weekend of November, December seems too risky even though it's been mild, I would hate to be heading up and have a cold front come thru.

 

I agree, I'd try to get it as early as possible in November. Last winter we didn't have it to bad til about February so you're right there. I'm sure it's gonna be a great trip though. Can't wait!

16th - 19th and Im there! I just missed the last trip the local boards did and I will defintely not miss this one if you go the 16th... I will be in miami the working the weekend prior and the weekend prior to that I will be in miami

 

I'm the same way - except I think driving is slightly more fun. I'm planning on buying a bullet cam to attach anywhere outside the car:

I need to get a solid roll call as to what dates & how many. One of the main guys I'm driving up with was trying for the 9th-12th, so I need to know if that will work or not. I want to try to accomodate as many people as possible.

Whoops, I was just reminded by my wife thet her B-day is the 17th, so I'm in negotiations with her right now, good thing for me shes cool about it!

OK, it's official, We're heading up to the Dragon on Thursday November 9th(depending on who's driving up w/ us, we may leave on Wednesday) and plan on driving the Dragon on November 10th& 11th, then heading back on the 12th.

So lets hear who's coming for sure. Post up, let's hear it!

 

I should be there on the 10th work pending... I am going to sema the week before so I hope they will give me the following friday off

 

I'll probably just drive up for the day on the 11th.
