OEM/JDM MR HID lights in a RS?

Haven't looked yet but I'll be putting my JDM MR Heads w/ Hids in my New IX RS...I would guess thats possible??

Mainly,....has anyone done it or has everyone just done Aftermarket??

I'll wire up the Fogs like regular Aftermarket fogs and Run to a OE Fog switch.

Replace any fuses I would guess.

The plug on the JDM light is dif than the plug on the harness. JDM light is HID, RS is not HID. Either take off the plugs and wire it ghetto style w/ a test light, or just buy a HID kit for your RS.

There is already a post in the how-to section....will end up costing you about 1K if everything is used. I think I recognize you from HT good to see a familiar screen name

yep thats me from H-T.got your IX yet??

well from what I understand if I take everything I've got now (JDM MR headlights w/ regular USDM OEM HID's and ballast) out of my 03 GSR and put those into my 06 RS...I would guess theres only a positive and a negative wire - splice it in and that should be it correct?

I have everything thats needed..only not 100% sure,.

A buddy that works here w/ me @ LEXUS put Lexus RX330 HID's in his Miata and just mainly cut and splice. His are fine. I would think a fuse would need to be "upped" but he said nope.He is a technician BTW.
His hardest part was making the RX330 bulb fit in the Miata housing.

BUt I have everything.
Wiring up the fogs shjould be like wiring up aftermarket fogs.

Techincally from what I have read you if you want it to be a complete plug in play affair you need the complete engine harness from a SSL equipped car
