Have you ever gotten on throttle with mom in the car?
The first day I bought my Evo, I had my dad drive (he had a GTO back in the day, yet always scolds us if we spin tires/race/etc) the car and had me, my bro, and my mom ride. My dad is just being a granny driver because he's so concerned about mpg. I tell him a couple times just to punch the gas (They live in rural minnesota).... He's very hesitant about doing so. About 30 seconds later from a dead stop, he just floors it through the first three gears...My mom/me/bro are just laughing our asses off.
Not because of the speed so much, just because my dad had such a huge grin on his face while driving it! My mom didn't even complain either!

Out of nowhere she asked me to show her how fast it was so I went to a back road, made sure she was serious and hopped all over it. She didn't freak out or anything thank god. She just kind of shook her head up and down for the fast car approval and told me to be careful. That was one of those strange mom and son moments.
Right after I got my VIII I had to take it over and show my parents the car I had been talking about getting for so long. So I take them for a ride, my dad in the front seat and my mom in the back. We're on a nice stretch of open four lane road so I say to my mom, "Ready?" She says, "Yup... ready." So I put it on the floor and she starts screaming, "Ah... Not ready, not ready, not ready!"
I let off the gas, my dad just has a grin on his face, but I can still picture my mom going "Not ready! Not ready!"... funny stuff.

I remember the day I got my car, my dad was driving it and my mom was riding shotgun. All he did was build boost under the speed limit and she was telling him to slow down.
With the mods I have right now, I think she will freak.

So I flipped it and at the next "closed course" light we hooked it up and the extra 60 horses made my mom scream and the vette owner cry... The best part was we were in Detroit home of Chevy.
It was a bit weird with my mom in the car. She loved it. I bet my step dad got a BJ that night.

WTF???
Shes had to drive it a few times. First time she's like you have no buissness driving a car thats this fast as she continues to smash the gas. I told her you breake it you buy it. Or pay me for the parts
haha, funny stories.
Ive told my whole family about how i track the car all the time, (did it a few times before i moved away).
My mom says "i want to go to one of your days". I'm like, "thats cool, but theyre kinda long, i dunno if you'll get bored walking around". She comes back, "No, I want to ride, go out on the track."
I about died laughing, as she's scared of riding with anyone doing over 50-60 mph. Ive asked again since that day, and she's intent on flying down and visiting and going to a track day sometime.
I know it's gonna be ugly. 125 to 35 in the hairpin at sebring? she's gonna freeeeeeeeeak.

Sweet stories!
My mom says nothing when she rides w/ me. I think over the years of our family always being at the races (road courses and dragstrips) she just expects it. She awalys tells me the "be careful and don't speed" everytime.
Took my Dad out to an Airshow a few weeks back and "Mr. I speed everywhere and I worship Porsches" actually grabbed the armrest when I was hanging a clover leaf at what I thought was a normal speed-LOL He later gave me compliments on the handling and acceleration. Then proceeded to tell me about when my brother used to race a first gen Eclipse in SCCA and how they cheated thier a$$es off with all the "engine modifications" they did w/ that turbo engine....how fast it was, yada yada.
