I let my mom drive it once. She barely gave it anything and she was like, "wow!" I think it's a little too fast for her. She's driven slow civics for as long as I can remember.

This other time we went to town to pick up her Rx for glasses. I had driven civil the whole way there, and on the way back as well. Then this older Integra decided to try and show off by flying by me at a nice clip. I let him go for a few seconds, and then was like "what the hell?" I floored it and caught up rather easily to say the least. I hit about 110, and my mom didn't freak out at all. After that she told me she had never gone that fast before. That was really funny, surprising to say the least.

And of course when I go to leave from visiting I get the whole, "be careful" thing. And then the last time I talked to her on the phone she was asking me how she could make her car faster.

My mom just tells me to slow down and watch out for cops when I floor it. I don't think she's really impressed with the speed. I thought I'd freak her out but still didn't manage to do it yet. Maybe on a cold night I can....

Few days after getting my Evo I took out my mom for a little spin. Car wasnt broken in yet so I kept it to 5k. When I got on it all she could do was grab onto the door and center console, the whole time saying, "How can they do this, how can this car be doing this." Then I took a nice 90deg wide right turn at about 45 and Ive never heard her scream louder. Funny stuff

lol...this is a funny thread. I took my parents for a quick spin a year ago when i got my car back from the shop. I drove my car below 4.5K most of the time to show them how "normal" it could be. Then I decided to show some "muscle" and whipped up 350 something horses and my mom just smiled and was amazed how fast a car could get. My dad was mad at me for driving so reckless

Of course after that I always get the be careful, dont speed, cops out, etc. lecture everytime I take the car out the garage lol

Maybe next time let her drive it. After all, it seems like half of these are bought by moms for high school and college kids!
