How to know when your losing boost

I know a boost gauge would solve all of this but, i dont want to put a boost gauge in just yet. Im pretty sure that would void my warranty, the car just felt faster the first day i got it, now this just might be because im getting used to it, but then again it seems like after about 4800 rpms it starts to die, like not just a taper.

I have an extended warranty, so i dont want to put a gauge in and void any type of warranty, should i just bring it back to the dealer and tell them? Sorry for being such a noob, just trying to get some feedback from you wiser evo-ers

Thanks in Advance!

I have to agree with you, Myne seems so much slower than when it did before I purchased it. I also see after about 5K rpms there is no power, I would not say it will die. I really think you might just be getting used to it. If you can put in the boost gauge. I also have an extended warranty on my 03 and they said a boost gauge was ok, but it depends on who your warranty is through.

Mitsubishi offers a gauge package. How could they void your warranty for not buying their product and getting your own? If you have the extended warranty, why not just take it to them and be like something is wrong here figure it out? ANd if they can't help, take it to another dealership that will.

i think im going to call my warranty provider to see if a boost gauge will void anything, because i really cant take the chance of losing this warranty, thats the only reason im really worrying

Just want to make sure cause i have a 3rd party warranty, Quality Gaurd Plus.. Deluxe Pkg

If you're *really* concerned about it, pay the crazy markup and have the dealer install an OEM MR guage for you.

even if you get a boost guage, you should still do a leak test. the boost guage won't tell you if you have small boost leak.

No clue, I've never heard of anyone doing it. Everyone gets aftermarket stuff.
