I have been searching for 20 minutes now trying to find an answer to this (probably stupid) question but haven't seen anything about it, can all Evo 8 parts fit the 9? Didn't know if they changed anything like fuses or wiring that would make a part unusable...

 

nope not all parts, there are some differences in wiring harness. different intake cams, too. different length spark plugs. little differences like that.

 

Some but not all Evo 8 part's fit the IX,your going to have to do your own research to find out which one's will work.

 

Well maybe I'll make a list while I'm at it so people can reference to it, I'm getting a 9 soon and there are parts in the private for sale section I'd be interested in but they are coming of 8s.

 

The 05-06 Evo need a different DP from the 03-04 because of ACD. So make sure if you're buying a used part, it fits your car.

 

Most of the parts that fit the 05 VIII will fit a IX.

Spec listed most of the different thing.

Tell me what VIII part you want to use on a IX and I'll tell you if it will work.
