Soooooo Pissed!!!!

Driving down the highway last week and they had been carving the road up to lay new asphalt down... and I got behind this tractor trailer and yep... got a bunch of rocks hitting all over my brand new car! I checked it when I got back and it looked like I had gotten away with no damage... but upon closer examination when I was washing it today.. I saw several chips in my hood. I swear someone should start suing the state for doing this stuff. What I can I really do though? Use touch up and it'll like like crap or just get a carbon fiber hood.. which I don't really like the looks of.

loud noises make the paint fall off our cars. So you've gotten the first chips out of the way, now you can look forward to first dent/ding and first curb rash. Good Luck!

first chips [check]
first dent [check]

Happened to me a while ago - very irritating. I drove through a meteor shower courtesy of a big rig. I just applied touch-up paint to most of the 1,367,923 rock chips on my car a few days ago. It looks a little better, but I have no hope of ever keeping the exterior of any car that I own in flawless condition. Oh, and two of my wheels have %#$*! curb rash as well (my fault). I take consolation in the fact that my car looks really good in dim light from a distance.

what I do w/ all my new cars is I get 3M clear bra installed. Not a 100% protection from road derbis but avoid rock chips most of the time.
