Ditto.. after removing the cat and having a ignition coil go bad resulted in a glowing red muffler it sounds how I want WOT it's nasty... I love it.

+eleven hundred fifty.

any noticeable difference(s) in gains btwn having a TBE and a catback+dp+some sort of replacement for the cat? (hfc or test pipe)

i really dont want to do a cat-delete as i live in CA, but at the same time i want an exhaust set up that yields good gains while being very quiet, esp. at highway cruising speeds (70mph+ ~ 3250 rpm)...but at WOT it doesn't matter

too bad that exhaust sound clip thread on www.norcalevo.net got wiped out...that would help so much right now

I'm in a few days, I'm going to have a Tanabe Touring Medallion on my Evo IX w/ 3" dp, 3" testpipe. I'll let you guys know how quiet it is once I get my car back...

lol. Can't be any worse than the Helix I have on there right now

My 2nd exhaust... I was debating between the Greddy Ti or the Tanabe touring... I decided to go the quieter route. BTW: Along with the exhaust, I'm also putting on an o2 housing and LICP at the same time if it makes any diff in noise.

Just remember, the Fugitsubo tapers to less than 3". Quiet but will lose some HP. But i'm heading toward this exhaust still.

Anybody w/ pics of both styles of Fugitsubo?
