How would oil leaking out of the head gasket get on top of the manifold? Seeing as how the manifold attaches to the head I can't see that physically happening, it's coming from somewhere else, maybe a picture from a little further back will reveal more information.

I only have 16k miles. I'll go pull the plugs and take more pics.

your head gasket is below the manifold so how could it be that? the mani is on the head..the gasket is between the head and the block....it can be the valve cover gasket, or if the copper crush washer on the oil line to the turbo failed and is somehow spraying oil, but its unlikely...but like stated above...valve seals are more likely the problem

LMAO, SN from my S2000 days.

Did'nt see anything odd. I change my plugs at every oil change. But I did notice oil on the back of my block. Never there before. Anyway, here are the pics.

Thanks for the help.

No drips from the VC gasket as seen in the new pics.

EDIT: When I press on that gasket to the manifold..... oil comes out of it? More pics coming.

i bet it's leaking oil from the exhaust manifold studs, a few of them are bolted right into the oil galley in the head. it was mentioned on a older thread with someone having the same problem. it seems you've taken the exh manifold off before, you might've broken loose the stud along with the nut.

I had those manifold studs replaced. I'm just going to take in to AMS. I'm just want to understand some of the issues of my vehicle before I take it in. Thanks for the help.

just curious, what did you replaced the mani studs with? stainless steel? i would stick to OE myself on those, something about how stainless are too hard and can mess up the softer metals.

Oh, wow. I had no idea they were right in the galley. That's got to be it. Good luck.

Just some residual that may have found its way down there. Check to see if the valve cover isnt to tight. Overtightening the bolts will cause a leak.
