I just picked up the recent Motor Trend and I must say this is one great issue! WRX STi, EVO, the new muscle car era , Japanese style. 4.5 sec 0-60, and 13.08 for the EVO! The funny thing is they only had to feather the clutch at 5000 rpm to get that. Road and Track had to DROP it from 6000rpm and only managed a 5.1 0-60 and 13.8 1/4. It is right there with the Mustang Cobra. And only one car could beat it in the slalom, that $210,000 Photon. It is cool to tell people I have a car that can out handle a Viper, Zo6, and Lamborghini. It is even quicker than the STi. Even if the STi gets quicker with more break in I am still happy with the EVO. A few minor mods and you're in the 12's! I hate it when people say oh it has a JDM ecu, etc. People just can't accept that we have the real thing. I might just buy an extra copy to keep in the car. And since I may not be as good as the MT drivers I can show the mag to any doubters to what this beast can do. Not to mention the car was the weakest of the group. It rated well in breaking also! It may have been the second slowest but given the competition, those times are good enough to kill a majority of cars on the road.
