2,000 miles on my IX and..........

Have had two problems.

1) hose from intercooler to intake blew off. ( no big deal)

2) Pull out of garage and there's a puddle of oil the size of lake michigan. Come to find out there was an oil plug in by the cams that had been overtighted and cracked. Service manager said there has been 11 other cases according to that have had this problem.

but so far the dealership has given me a rental and no static whatsoever. I just miss my EVO.

Well, your never gonna hear about the thousands that are perfect, just the one's that have problems. I've had a few cars and i understand these things can happen. As long as the problem gets fixed and they take care of me in the interm (rental car) i'll be happy.

If there was a huge oil puddle did you nend up starting your car with very low oil? If so, I'd complain about the potential damage that resulted from starvation, low pressure, etc. If it was less than a quart, that's different.

I know exactly what you mean. I've seen how the hacks at my mitsu dealership work on Evo's. I'd ask for the repair instructions and do it myself. I pray that my Evo never has to go to the dealer.
