its Hard to Find a Good Mechanic these Days So, Just Make sure you Be the *******s and Don't let them screw up, Find a ASE certified shop, and one with a Good Rep, like make sure they are part of the BBB (Better Bussiness Bureuo) Cause if the Screw you car up you can realy damage their rep. Ask around for a Good shop in your area, If its called Lube Express Be careful.

to answer your question, NO they dont check your computer to do an oil change. even if your modded to the point of it being a race car your just coming in for an oil and filter change not warranty work.

Well i appreciate all the responses guys. It really amazes me how dumb some people are. Not all dealerships are bad just a very good amount of them. I love my dealership because their friendly and they do good work suprisingly enough. When I bring my own oil they give me the almost empty 5 quart jug back and they do change the filter. I did end up getting the oil changed yesterday and everything was fine. In a matter of fact there were 2 other evo's getting warranty work done to them and both were way more modded than me so I felt safe.

Dude dont beleive everything everybody has to say. Im a tech and been working at the same Toyota dealer for almost 2 yrs now. I will tell you this. I have never ripped off anybody. 2007 camrys and TCs take 5 20 instead of 10 30 that we use for all other normal Toyotas. If u look at your bill it will tell u what they did. There is no way that evey dealer does that. It might have happened here and there but look for feedback on the black list thread.

Apologies for keeping the thread off-topic, but I work at a dealership and I can tell you that our techs are quite knowledgeable and we treat our customers very well. Just because some people have had bad experiences doesn't mean that all dealerships should be branded in such a negative way.

I agree 100%. Most dealerships treat you right but there are a select few that rip people off. I go to Max Madsen in DG.

I was actually kinda worried about what they will say about my catback but it seemed fine. My car is basically stock anyway. Nothing under the hood has been touched and it will stay that way.
