Some places can say colored valve stems can void a warranty. go find a "warranty friendly" dealership. I did here in INDY, and it wasn't the same place I bought the car. If you are that worried about the warranty, don't mod it until your warranty is up.

i think cams for $500-600 if you do the install, otherwise figure another $300-400 for the install. i would consider LICP/10.5 hotside but again if you do the install. for the cams and hotside, you would also need a reflash so consider that as well. do you have jdm mr bov?

Everything voids your warantee.

Cams are your next logical step, like everyone else said. For the money you have to spend your right on target.

Well, I don't care about the rest of the warentee, but I would like to retain the tranny warentee. I know in subaru's, as long as the modified part isn't directly touching the broken area you should be set. I am just sour that my wrx was faster then this evo... and I was only at 313whp. What cams would be the best but still not too aggressive, ie. not having to replace valve springs and retainers? Thanks for the imput guys

Everything you have already voids the entire warranty, whether directly or indirectly.

You need a cat replacement and GSC cams. That's just under $600, but you also need a retune.

Every mod sacrifices reliability. Every mod risks voiding your warranty. You are just saying things to us that are obvious and inherent for every Evo owner, but they just aren't feasible. You've been told the next mods to get and without being bashed for searching. You should take the info and run with it, because honestly, this question has been asked so many times in so many forms, and it's really annoying to have to keep answering it, especially when the thread originator doesn't even take the time to search...

Filter, that's the party line, but rarely does it ever happen, because they can easily INFER that Mod X caused Failure Y even if they are not directly related. One extreme example is a guy who had nothing but lowering springs, and Mitsu wouldn't warranty a tranny problem. They said the change in ride height led to the gear failure...
