Getting an EVO becomming reality
Getting an EVO becomming reality
**Disclaimer, this is going to be a boring post, but I just have to share my "victory".
So some of you may remember an earlier thread of mine discussing the future stability of Mitsubishi. My fiance, worried that MITSU will crash, has been denying the idea of me getting an EVO because I could have a car with no warranty if the company were to fold. This weekend we went to KC to visit our parents, and while we were out shopping I decided we should stop by the local MITSU dealership just so she could see one in person. She has commented on numerous occasions how "ugly" the EVO is, because it is so "boxie". She also thought they were piece of junk and it would end up always needed repairs and other stuff. (Basically they aren't Honda reliable).
Anyways, we got there and in the showroom was a black IX SSL, and she fell in love with the car. She said it was gorgeous in person, and that if I still wanted one I can get one. I was in my "I hate you, I know you're teasing/tortureing me" mode. She said too bad it's black, and not a silver color. Well they had 1 GG in the back lot, and she said I had to get that one. IX GG SE. I didn't really care for the SE package. I didn't like the red stiching in the seats. I told her I knew she wasn't serious, but she said no, if you don't get one, you have no one to blame but yourself. I was shocked and totaly thought, YES! Vicotry is mine.
So now, I'm saving my pennies, gonna work overtime, sell any/all junk I can to have a few extra bucks. Maybe I can find a used one and save a few bucks too. I already checked with insurance and it will only jump up $10 a month to switch from my SRT-4. ($120/mo) So hopefully next spring I won't have trouble finding a IX GG, because that's what I want. I don't want to buy one just yet because it's almost the end of the year. So, you'll all be seeing me more around here.
