South Coast / West Coast Pricing

I've found in a few threads that South Coast and West Coast are having lower prices than everyone else. I've seen claims of IX for 29,XXX , but I don't see dealership names/salesman names to back this up.

Does anyone know of a CONFIRMED dealership or salesman that is selling at lower than sticker prices? My local dealership said that they would price match any other US dealership as long as I could provide a Dealership that would tell their price over the phone. I am dab smack in the middle of Kansas, and would prefer not doing a break-in on a new EVO driving it back to Kansas from CA, nor would I want to pay for it to be shipped.

Thanks!

South Coast Mitsu is. Have you tried searching for them? Their newest thread is for October pricing.

They havent listed the pricing for Oct. yet but if you click on his signature, you can see prevoius pricing as well as the dealership info.

Your dealer is sorta playing with ya, I'll bet there is not a dealer that would talk to another dealer and tell them their lowest price....

best of luck

Thanks!
My local dealer said the same thing, told me they would match anyone, and no mitsu dealer can get cars any cheaper than the next. blah blah, so I went in there ready to buy, brought my south coast price sheet that they told me to bring. then they told me those prices were impossible, that they were just using it to lure me down they rip me off, etc, etc, etc. So i left, drove down to south coast, got my car for the as advertised price, no tricks, pleasant experience. Well worth it and saved myself a few grand.

I'll be surprised if your local dealer will match South Coast prices. Last week a local dealer told me they would "match or beat any deal from a competing Mitsubishi dealership." I said "great, I'll be right in!" and then I walked into the dealer with my SCM prices in hand.

To make a long story short, they couldn't match it. I still wound up buying from them because I also didn't want to ship the car or drive cross-country. For me it was worth the extra cost to buy locally and avoid the hassle.

Now when it says including destination charge, is that the charge of shipping to the US, or them shipping it to me?

South Coast has the best prices you will find, but your local dealer might turn you down on matching it. I've heard that SCM gets a minor price break on theirs from the factory since they are such a high-volume dealer. If that's true, then your local dealer would have to make even less than SCM is on those sales, possibly even making no profit. In that case, they would refuse to match, I assume.

The dealership I went to did. They wouldn't match the mr but they would for the gsr. I was going to get a gsr anyway though

I took the south coast pricing into my local dealer. Let me just say I'll never goto that dealership for anything. He was trying to be all buddy buddy with me picking out the car I wanted, but as soon as I showed him the South Coast pricing he was a total jerk. He was at first saying there's no way they could sell EVO's for that price, and that they must be pre-owned and beating to death by the previous owner. Then he started to imply that I made it all up and printed it out for him, as if I was tryiing to scam him. My next shot will be the dealer in KC, who will more likely be willing to deal with me, than some hicktown shop. If that doesn't work I'll just buy from south coast and have it shipped to me door.

Just buy it from South Coast, I did and I live in Michigan. I got a one way ticket for $196.00 and cost me around $300.00 for gas. Your gas would be half of that! Buying from Mark at South Coast was by far the best buying experience I have ever had.

My cousin is a salesman at the local Mitsu dealer here and he told me that they only get 3-6 evo's per year and if they can sell all of them in that year there kick back from the manufacturer is $900. So even if they sold the car to me at there cost they would make $900. I am sure that South Coast being a volume dealer has bigger kick backs for selling more cars therefor they can lower there pricing. So my cousin got his sales manager who is the owners son to sell the car to me at cost which was still like $2300 higher than South Coast and I told them not good enough. The cocky bastard stormed into my cousins office and told me that if I could get an evo for that price then to go buy it there. He didn't even have the car in stock, this was in August and they wouldnt have the car until the end of October. So instead of making $500 or even nothing on one of the six evo's he has to sell to get the higher kickback before it was even shipped from Japan he was a dick and didn't and never will get my business.

The only thing I don't like about flying out there and driving it back, is that it will be a long drive "breaking it in" on the highway.
