I recently purchased an Espelir JGT500 catback and downpipe.* I took off my old exhaust, a Tsudo that I bought from another member for cheap, and its laying around the garage taking up space.* The Tsudo can is dented up and has a stained up muffler tip.* *I thought about just replacing the muffler with a universal one and I ended up buying this APEXi Dunk muffler for $65.* The only thing is that the piping dia looks to be about 2.5 to, maybe 2.75 at the inlet behind the canister.* Inside the canister it looks to be even smaller about 2 inches maybe 2.25, and thats bieng generous.* I have always loved the look and sound of the APEXi Dunk and the HKS Drager, plus my Dunk Megaphone is super clean.* I want to have it welded on to my old Tsudo pipes but I thought I'd ask you folks what the drawbacks would be given the smaller piping on the Dunk.* Is it worth it?* The rest of the Tsudo piping is 3inch straight through no resonators.* I hoped the Dunk would be quieter than the N1 style canisters, plus I thought it'd be unique because I havent seen an Evo with a Dunk.* Thanks guys.* 8)

IMO I don't like it, but haven't even heard it soo can't complain. If the piping is smaller I wouldn't do it.

don't do it, 2" inside diameter is too small. get a 3" greddy evo style muffler. it looks very similar to the dunk.

Here is an example of the APEXi Dunk on a Prelude SH.

Just as an example, I know its a Honda but it doesnt sound as horrible as other honda exhausts. The thing is living in Cali I would like to keep a low profile and hope that the huge can would help drown out some of the noise as opposed to using an N1 style muffler. Thanks for the input, anyone else care to chime in?

LOL at the bada$$ with his pant waist on his buttcheeks and walking around topless in that vid.

Just fork over the dough and get yourself something nice like the WORKS exhale, magnaflow, or other axle back or universal mufflers. Magnaflows are actually pretty darn quiet.

I don't like the WORKS exhale or the Magnaflow. I have another exhaust already, JGT500, I'm asking for opinions on the performance of the Dunk exhaust. If the Dunk muffler is going to degrade the performance of my car then I will just stick with my Espelir and sell the Dunk to some Honda guys or something. Thanks.
