I do all my own maintance, dont trust the stealerships. As far as getting a tune, I recomend a good perfomance shop in your local area.

Do everything myself, from clutch and cam installs to motor swaps and rebuilds. Luckly Im an aircraft mechanic so I have access to all the tools I would ever need plus lifts and things of that nature.

Considering that I'm stock except for a drop-in air filter and a Dynoflash tune, I can't really answer the question accurately. As far as routine maintenance goes, I pay to have someone do the oil changes. It's worth $15 to have someone else do it. Now I did pay the dealership to do the 30,000 mile service. But after seeing them do it I am not in the mood to pay hundereds of dollars the next time around. I'm going to do that myself. Major things I won't touch because I simply don't have the know-how or the equipment (clutch, major engine work, brakes, etc.)

I work at my fathers shop, so its easier to install stuff my self, Although i haven't modded my Evo yet, I do all the MAintence and install parts on other Evos. So when i get my TBE i am putting it in.

I can do turbo swaps, suspension stuff, all bolt ons, world class competition sound systems. But as far as pulling out the engine and tranny, I leave that to the pros.

Most everything I can and will do myself however internal engine work and the clutch change I will pay to do mainly because its a Pain in the A$$ and I rather not deal with it
