AMS is my best friend, being 50ish the body don't flex like it used to, I have build trannys, motors, built offroad race cars, built my 171 mph drag boat and so on... I miss getting my hands dirty.

More power to those able do it all or even some of it.

There is a certain satisfaction that goes along with doing the work yourself. I would be lost without it. I do everything myself, with the exception of tuning and body work.

So far I have done just about everything as far as mods and maintainence.

Down the road when I do cams, timing belt, and clutch I may pay to have someone do the work.

I have done these items on other cars and can be a headache for sure.

The #1 reason I do everything myself too. I think if youre going to beat up on your car you should know what is going on inside of it. This way you can "I built it" rather than just picked the parts out of a catalog. Although not everyone is mechanically inclined. You do need a fair amount of tools to do major repair work and that can get expensive.

Everythings been done myself, I tell myself I'm going to pay someone to do stuff "next time", but I'm usually to cheap to go through with it.
