First off I love my new EVO, Pics coming soon! I Just broke-in my brand new GG SE, and plan to go for 350-370 stock turbo to hold me over until spring when I can purchase a 50 Trim kit. Mods below are going to include

Walbro 255
Buschur TBE, Intake
ACT HD (Just sitting their until the stock goes)
AEM Tru Boost, wideband combo (Need feedback or other opinions please)
Cams (also need advice)
TT Tune (What do I need here)
*And another stuff I might need (pipes,Intercooler, 02 housing, etc. is it really needed)

you should do TBE, mbc, walboro, licp and a flash.. Should be good for 330-335whp on pump

 

Look at my mods in my sig, its pretty much what your going to have except i dont have cams

 

If I were you I would just get the buschur stages, check out there website..Plus give them a call and talk to them....They will be helpful!

Cams just arent proven yet for the IX, GSC has a set coming...Wait and see how well they perform.

 

yeah... hks and some other brands are coming out with cams in a couple of weeks! im waiting on numbers from different brands so i can pick a set of cams for my mr 2

 

if you want more than 350 out of a ix you'll need meth or a turbo upgrade

most see 330 whp with those mods

Don't forget getting the cam gears for the camshafts. It helps to put the icing on the cake.

travman is totally right.....cams haevnt been proven yet for the IX......lets throw the icing on the cake and waste some money on cam gears too.....BRILLIANT!!!!!!

 

Most see 330 without cams, right?? What about the AEM Tru Boost, I searched and found a guy had a problem with instal, I believe. Feedback Please.

 

First off cams arent even out yet for the 9 so dont even worry about them. Secondly, IMHO I would just wait till you get the 50trim kit. However, if you are in dire need of power just get a 3in tbe w/cat delete, o2housing(yes it is needed IMHO), drop in(no aftermarket intake tube because you actually lose power), walbro, dyno tune, mbc, and alky to run more boost. If all goes well with that @ 25psi 350whp should be easily attainable.

 

Ok, what 02 do you recommend, I also am looking at EBC's either the AEM or Turbosmart. What do you think?
