stupid question, but do all stock Evos come with a blowoff valve..because when i was working at the mitsu. dealership in norco (my hometown) the one i drove didnt make that "PSS" sound when i shifted...just wondering

Do they let you work on the Evo's they come in?

and yes they do come with a BOV

 

They come with a Diverter Valve that recirculates the "pssss" sound, so its not as audible.

 

I guess technically there dump valves. The valve recirculates back into the intake and not to the atmosphere. Thats why the sound is not that loud.

 

no i didnt work on them...i wish though...i only washed them and took em out to put gas in them....good enough thought, i drove alot of them

 

Yes all the evo got bov, but I hardly hear my bov sound when I still have stock air box !

 

All evo VIII and IX comes with a diverter vaulve. Not all evos you see will have a intake or VTA BOV (which makes the Phhssss)

Another reason why you shouldn't bring your evo to Mitsu dealerships for any work.

 

The guy does not work on them he is just a porter...give him a break, he was just asking a question.

 

Would you want a porter driving YOUR evo around town trying to listen for the "pshhhh" sound? LOL!
