clutch question

I have about 25k on my stock clutch. When I go into 3rd gear or 4th gear and then go WOT, the revs stops, and then continues. Is this the clutch slipping?

Do you have a boost gauge? How high are you boosting when the revs stop?

Maybe your Expeirencing The Motor Hop, Possibly because you letting the Clutch Out Fast. The Stock Evo Motor mounts are Soft, But an Engine Dampener fixes that.

its not when i shift. when i drive i go under WOT and it feels like my revs go up and the car doesnt hold. someone suggest clutch slip or my throttle plate was off or something.

does the car slightly free rev first. My clutch before it went out would slip and jump about 2k and then grab again. also after it would grab the rpms would wavier a little. meaning they would not be constant they would go up a lil and then drop a lil. even at wot. Of course my clutch was toast at that point yours my not be that bad yet

i would downshift to 3rd, and then floor it, and the car would make a slight popping sound and then hold at that rev and then keep going. eh im confused...

if it pops and the takes off... and only at wot... you sure thats not a bad tune... sounds like a detonation. you might try running higher octane first... i mean its just a shot. I have never heard a clutch react like yours.

i dont daily drive the car so i'll have it looked at. i might just be doing a ****ty job describing it but the car has no tune and all the mods in my sig. waiting for E FLASH.

i basically floored it and at about 4k the revs cut and then continued going but it was very noticable like iwas taking my foot off the gas altogether.

sounds to me that you are maybe hitting fuel cut. on your signature it says that you are pushing 21-22 psi and you say you arent tuned. i had the same problem when i turned my boost up that high. the car jerked really fast like i let off the throttle and then slammed it back down really fast... try turning your boost down to 20 psi and try it again maybe that can fix your problem

Yeah, sounds like fuel cut due to too much boost. You need a tune to disable that 'feature'.

Agree. Sounds a lot like fuel cut to me now. My car was the same I think as what you are describing. I had a full exhaust and intake, put the boost up to 21 psi, and when I first really got on it, just as the fun was starting to happen, BOOM, nothing, total cut out. Feels like you hit a wall a bit. Everything just stops for a second, then comes back on.

If that's what is going on, it's fuel cut. Get a tune, and have it removed, and you'll be good to go.
